Online Course | Module 2 : Emotion Regulation
By engaging in this module, you will learn some key Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), coaching and mindfulness-based practices. You’ll learn to apply them practically, and that will enable you to manage and direct your emotions in a way that is purposeful and constructive.
• Gain an understanding of your own emotions and how they work;
• Learn to identify your triggers and know when you are in the “red zone”;
• Know what to do when are you are experiencing high levels of emotion;
• Be better able to regulate your responses to emotion.
This course consists of 12 lessons. The first few lessons help you to review your experiences and practices since module 1, then it moves into the meat of the subject, which is all about emotion regulation.
You’ll be introduced to a practical view of emotions. You’ll find some powerful CBT techniques, you’ll learn about the enneagram and how that can be used to identify your “red zone” trigger. Oh, and you’ll learn all about the red zone and how, by managing that, you can become more flexible and have a wider range of options of how to show up in life.
Your participation in this module is sure to transform your view of emotion and take you one more giant leap towards having that different, better experience of life!
As with Module 1, each lesson consists of a combination of video, audioslide, pure audio, as well as reading(s) and/or written exercise(s). There are audio versions of the downloadable documents so you can listen to the reading instead, if that’s your preferred style. Total course length is a bit less than Module 1, although the lesson on the Red Zone is probably the longest in the entire program — that’s because there’s a treasure chest of value to be found there!
